Uncertain Court Docket Searches
There is no single Uncertain case-search box. Find the office that holds the record first. Then a name or a case number gets you somewhere. Living near the city tells you nothing about which court filed the case.
- Read the issuing agency, court, citation or cause number, and response date.
- Ask the city contact for routing only if the document appears to concern city government.
- Use the Harrison JP directory when a county justice court is named.
- Use the County or District Clerk for a case filed at those levels.
- Confirm the current setting and public record with the filing clerk.
County and district cases are different. Harrison clerks link the public to Odyssey for online docket searches on those files. re:SearchTX may reach electronic civil, family, or probate records, though it stops short of a full criminal search. When those routes fail, call the clerk, mail a written request, or visit the counter in person.
Uncertain City Contact Route
The official City of Uncertain pages list the civic office at 199 Cypress Drive, P.O. Box 277, Uncertain, Texas 75661. The phone is 903-789-3443, and the email is info@cityofuncertain.com. Marie Rankin serves as City Secretary, per the city-government page. That office can answer a routing question. It can say which agency or court handles a citation bearing a certain number. It cannot act as a court clerk. Hold off on sending a plea, payment, or restricted case request to a civic address. Do that only when the city or the named court confirms the route.
Inside the Uncertain Municipal Court
The city's official pages list no Uncertain Municipal Court at all. No city docket appears there, nor a payment portal, a judge, or a court schedule. Keep that fact in its place. It describes what the official channels offer. It does not say whether some agency can issue a citation in the area.
No city portal found: use the document’s court name and issuing agency, then verify the custodian before acting.
An authoritative source could change the picture later. Until one appears, treat any invented local court, or a rule pushing every Uncertain matter to one JP, with suspicion. A plain verification chain serves you better.
Uncertain City Government Capture
The official city-government page provides the City Secretary and regular council information.

A city council meeting is a legislative civic event. It is not a plea docket, trial setting, or municipal court session. If you ask for help there, give the agency, the document number, the date, and one exact routing question.
Finding Uncertain Court Dates
The response date on a citation is not always the hearing date. The two can differ, sometimes by a lot. Since the city posts no Uncertain court calendar, the current notice and the clerk of the named court control your deadlines.
| Date | The latest date stated by the filing court. |
|---|---|
| Time | The confirmed docket-call or individual setting time. |
| Location | The address on the current court notice. |
| Court | The justice, municipal, county, or district court holding the file. |
| Setting type | The labeled plea, pretrial, hearing, trial, or compliance event. |
A docket is a schedule snapshot, nothing more. It does not prove anyone appeared or how a case ended. For an outcome, ask the clerk for the case register or a signed order.
Uncertain’s Caddo Lake Context
Uncertain sits on Caddo Lake. The official 2020 Census geography puts the city's population at 85. Those facts make the community distinct, but they do not identify a court, set precinct boundaries, or measure case volume.
Harrison court-activity reports count cases at the county and court level. They cannot find one Uncertain resident's case. Dividing those totals by city population to guess local dockets would mislead you.
Uncertain Traffic Ticket Lookups
First ask which agency issued the ticket. Then ask which court is printed on it. A Harrison justice court means you confirm the precinct and call its clerk. A different city or agency means you use that authority instead. The official Uncertain pages are city government, not a payment system. Quote the citation number exactly. Give the printed name, issue date, and the action you want. Payment, a plea, a hearing request, and a copy request are separate tasks. Never pay an unverified service. A mere mention of Uncertain in a search result is not a reason to pay. For countywide routing, the Harrison County traffic court page goes deeper.
Uncertain and Harrison JP Routes
Harrison County has four justice precincts. Their clerks handle limited civil matters plus fine-only criminal or traffic cases assigned to those courts. The general JP page lists each office. No source assigns every Uncertain matter to one precinct, so confirm the right court before you file or call.
| Question | Best source | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Which court is on a ticket? | Citation and issuing agency | City geography decides |
| Which JP holds it? | Named court or confirmed precinct | Nearest office has jurisdiction |
| What is the date? | JP clerk’s current record | Old notice stayed current |
| How can it be resolved? | That court’s forms and instructions | Another precinct uses the same rules |
How Uncertain Cases Reach County
An event near Uncertain does not turn a county or district case into a city case. Venue follows the filing, not the map. County-level civil, misdemeanor, and probate files generally go to the County Clerk. District civil, family, property-tax, child-support, and adult-felony files go to the District Clerk.
Docket flow: Named local or justice court › Harrison County Courts › 71st District Court
Think of this as a jurisdiction map. It is not a promise that every case passes through all three levels. An appeal from a non-record lower court may proceed by trial de novo. Under Texas law, that is the route such an appeal takes. Check the receiving court and the deadline for your actual case. The county overview lays out the wider Harrison County court docket structure.
City Secretary Is Not Clerk
The City Secretary runs civic functions the city describes. A court clerk keeps a court's filings, settings, pleas, and orders. With no Uncertain municipal court on the city's pages, ask the city contact to route your inquiry, not to certify a docket another institution holds. A precise question works best. Give the document's heading, issuing agency, identifier, and date. Then ask which office has authority. Keep private identity documents out of a first email. Once the court is known, follow its official process for any restricted or identity-dependent request.
Who Can See Uncertain Records
Who gets to see a record turns on which court filed it. One set of rules governs administrative judicial records. That set is Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12; it does not reach ordinary case files. For case records, the Texas Public Information Act carves out the judicial branch entirely. So begin any request for a case file with the clerk who keeps that proceeding.
Key access rules: request the publicly releasable docket or document. Texas Family Code Chapter 58 protects juvenile information, and sealing orders or other laws may restrict records and identifiers.
Even a docket entry you can read does not open every attachment behind it. Redaction works the same way in reverse: blacked-out text proves nothing about whether an event happened. Ask the custodian what it takes to see more, since identity proof, a court order, or some other legal basis may apply.
Uncertain Official Contact Capture
The official Uncertain home page supplies city contact information and the Caddo Lake setting.

Some papers look city-related yet never name a court plainly. Route them here. If the city points you to a Harrison JP, the County Clerk, the District Clerk, or a different agency, take the question straight to that official custodian.
When Uncertain Routing Changes
Things can shift. Official word can arrive several ways. A verified city court page, a refreshed state directory entry, or direct notice from an official could later add a judge, a clerk, a payment route, or a docket channel. Whenever that happens, write down the confirmation date and the jurisdiction behind it. A third-party directory by itself settles nothing about current authority. Population stays fixed at the cited 2020 Census vintage. The live facts move faster: contacts, staff, hours, forms, payment links, and docket schedules all change. Recheck those before you rely on them. Until official sources say otherwise, the dependable Uncertain process holds. Identify the agency and the court on the record. Let the city handle only civic routing. Get the case information from the clerk who truly holds the file.
Older Harrison County records need one extra question: which index covers that year and category? The Harrison County Clerk sends probate filings after 2005 to Odyssey. Older probate material sits with Kofile. The District Clerk sets its own schedule. It says cases after 1987 may be searched in Odyssey. Those different dates trace to different record series kept by each clerk. There is no single countywide cutoff. Paper files, microfilm, legacy indexes, and off-site storage often hold records missing from a current portal. Give the clerk the full party name. Add an approximate filing year, the court level, the case type, and the exact document wanted. A narrow ask wins on speed and cost. A docket sheet plus a signed order beats requesting every page. Copy type matters too. A portal view locates the case. A plain copy reproduces a filing, and a certified copy carries clerk authentication. Before paying anything, have the responsible Harrison clerk quote current search, page, delivery, and certification charges. One limit stands: the city civic office cannot certify a county or district record. Keep that line clear. An Uncertain search then moves cleanly from a local routing question to the proper official file, without asking the city pages for more than they give.
